THE opening sale of store lambs drew in the crowds at Gisburn Auction Mart.
Texel cross lambs, from Wigglesworth farmer, Susan Murphy, topped the sale at £56, selling to PE Dalby, of Otley, West Yorkshire.
Auctioneer, Rachel Capstick, of Richard Turner and Son, said “The demand outstripped supply, with purchasers keen for short and long term keep lambs, due to the abundance of grass. The next sale in a fortnight should hopefully see more number forward.“
