A NORTH Lancashire pub company is selling off ten per cent of its public houses.

Mitchell’s of Lancaster, which owns around 60 pubs, is selling six freehold pubs, including the Devonshire Arms, in Ulverston, and the Horse and Jockey, in Dalton in Furness, as part of a rationalisation of the group’s estate.

Andrew Barker, joint manager of Mitchell’s of Lancaster, said: “As part of our continued development we have identified a small number of properties for disposal that are no longer part of our core business strategy.”
