THE Kendal store of timber and builder's merchants Jewson Ltd has undergone a major redevelopment with a brand new showroom and offices at Stockbeck.
The work has taken six months to complete and is expected to create more jobs at the store, which already employs a dozen staff. The new-look store is due to officially reopen on Tuesday, June 1.
Meanwhile, branch manager Ann Chapman has retired after 29 years with the firm. She is succeeded by assistant manager Mark Slater.
