SAFETY was the main theme at Hawkshead and Esthwaite Primary School.
The local community police officer has given an assembly every day addressing all aspects of safety, including road safety - pavements and pedestrian crossings, while Key Stage 2 pupils have been looking at Internet Safety and children have conducted a risk assessment at Fletcher’s Field, their outdoor study area.
Pupils have also taken part in a ‘grounds tidy day’. Paul Farrington visited school and helped with tree planting and leaf clearance.
Pre-School children were making the most of the snow at the start of the week, looking for different animal tracks and joining a team effort to build a snowman.
