Youngsters from Ingleton Middle School went deep underground in Ingleborough Cave to examine stalactites and stalagmites and the fossilised corals in the limestone.
The trip, funded by Natural England, was part of the Northern Caves Monitoring Project which gathers vital cave conservation data from most Yorkshire Dales caves.
