OPERATION Christmas Child needs a new home in Lancaster and Morecambe...
The annual Christmas appeal expects between 23,000 and 25,000 shoebox gifts to be donated by local people for children in the Third World this festive season. But it needs a warehouse where they can be collected and sorted prior to shipping.
The charity's Angela Walton says it needs around 6,000 square feet of space somewhere in the area because the warehouse in Heysham used in previous years is no longer available.
She also wants to hear from local people who can help in any way in the run-up to Christmas. To find out more or to make an offer of help, call Angela on 01524-734793.
