POLICE in Lancaster want to hear from anyone who may have information about a serious assault on the city's Vale Estate.
A man in his twenties was attacked by a group of 20 to 25 youths on Morley Road on Sunday, October 2, at around 8.45pm.
He suffered broken bones in both hands, a broken left shoulder and a broken jaw which required a metal plate to be inserted.
He also sustained a large hole to the back of his head that needed stitching.
A police spokesman says: "This was a nasty attack by a large group and we urge anyone who may have any information about the incident to come forward."
