A SOUTH Lakeland outdoor retailer jointly scooped a top award at an industry event.
Gaynor Sports of Ambleside and outdoor public relations agency MCS won the outdoor industries' retailer promotion of the year award for their October Outdoor Fest, at the Go Outdoor Awards.
The awards were presented at a charity gala dinner hosted by Sir Chris Bonington.
Based in and around Gaynor Sports, the October Outdoor Fest aimed to attract people back to the countryside by having fun while raising funds for the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team.
The week of events included family activities, climbing and orienteering courses, guided walks and celebrity lectures.
Following the success of last year's event, Gaynor Sports plans to repeat it later this year, with the proceeds again going to the mountain rescue team.
