CIVIL weddings could soon be taking place at Lancaster Town Hall, after the city council applied for a licence to host marriage ceremonies.
The Edwardian building, which boasts a marble staircase, imposing Council Chamber and a grand Banqueting Suite, is already a popular venue for wedding receptions.
