PEOPLE in Ulverston concerned about the future of the town's main post office have been reassured it will remain open.
Last month Ulverston Town Council wrote to Post Office Counters to ask about the future of the post office in County Square.
Concerned residents had approached members of the council, as they were concerned the post office would close because of the latest shake-up by Consignia to cut costs.
But this week the council received a letter from Post Office Counters saying there were no immediate plans to close the main post office.
