ICY conditions are making driving hazardous across South Lakeland and police are urging motorists to take care.
Earlier an accident slowed traffic on the A592 Kirkstone Pass both ways between Kirkstone Pass and Townhead Brow.
One vehicle left the road at the Queen's Head Hotel, affecting traffic between Patterdale and Windermere.
Police have advised that conditions on that stretch are particularly treacherous.
