FOUR police vans descended on a house in Kendal after reports of someone in possession of a firearm.
Police say an air rifle was recovered from a home on the Hallgarth estate during a police search on Wednesday, November 17, with further inquiries into its ownership and usage still ongoing.
A police spokesman said: “Cumbria constabulary takes the unlawful usage of air rifles very seriously and will take every possible step to prosecute offenders.
"Anyone considering purchasing an air rifle should contact Cumbria Police for advice.”
