Cold ‘won’t stop hunts'

HUNTS will take place in South Lakeland and north Lancashire over the Christmas period.
Vale of Lune hunt will be at the Longlands Hotel at Tewitfield, on Monday, at 11am.
Visitors are advised to get there early to get a parking space.
Last year’s hunts were postponed because of bad weather but around 100 people still showed up to walk the trail.
Master of the hounds Clive Richardson said the event would go ahead regardless.
Coniston Foxhounds will meet at The Cross in Ambleside at 9.30am on Monday.
There will also be a New Year’s Day hunt from the Drunken Duck, near Hawkshead.
