Road resurfacing work will start in Windermere on Monday.
The work, which is expected to take up to five days, will involve resurfacing sections of carriageway on Rayrigg Road and Cooks House Corner.
Local diversions will be in place during the temporary road closure.
Road resurfacing will also start in Coniston the following Monday when the village’s Yewdale Road will be closed in phases from Shepherd’s Bridge Lane to Lake Road.
The work will take place in phases for up to two weeks and local diversions will be in place.
Cumbria Highways apologises for any disruption the works cause but the closures are essential for the successful completion of the work.
