A LANDMARK conference which will focus on the ageing process is coming to South Lakeland this spring.
Rydal Hall, near Grasmere, will be the location for Creativity, Ageing and Psychoanalysis, a residential conference run by Age Matters from Friday, April 1, to Sunday April 3, which will feature a talk by Wordsworth Trust president Pamela Woof on Dorothy Wordsworth’s ‘later years’.
The event will also include readings by acclaimed poets Dannie Abse, Lynne Hjemlgaard and Polly Atkin, a piano recital by concert pianist Robin Rubenstein, and a debate entitled Dementia, Self-Awareness and Artistic Expression.
Weekend and day tickets are available.
