SIXTH Formers from Casterton, the girls’ day and boarding school near Kirkby Lonsdale, are celebrating an outstanding set of A Level results this year with 73% of girls achieving A*- B grades.

They are now looking forward to places at some of the country’s leading universities.

Top achievers include two girls who were each awarded 4A*s and 1A at A Level.

Headmistress Maxine Lucas said: “This has been another very successful year. "The girls have worked hard, achieving high grades in a range of traditional subjects.

"The girls have achieved these results whilst taking part in a wide range of extra-curricular and leadership activities resulting in enthusiastic, confident and independent young women who are ready for the next challenge.”
