SIX South Lakeland pubs have joined forces to organise an ale trail this weekend in a bid to boost custom.
It follows discussions between the managers of all the pubs over how to get more locals into the hosteleries and to cut down on drink driving risks.
A bus will link all the pubs at a minimal cost of £1 per drop off and will visit the Rusland Pool Hotel, Haverthwaite; the Farmer’s Arms Hotel, Lowick; White Hart, Bouth; Angler’s Arms, Haverthwaite; Ship Inn, Greenodd; and the Red Lion Hotel, Lowick.
The bus will be setting off from the Farmer’s Arms, Lowick, at 3pm on Saturday (Nov 19) and will run until 10pm. It will run from 3pm to 8pm on Sunday with customers able to start and finish their tour from any of the six inns.
