A 46-YEAR-OLD Eden man was flown to hospital this morning (Friday) after he became unwell and fell into a river.
The Great North Air Ambulance service was called to the scene of the incident close to Penrith at 08.40am, where the patient was being treated by paramedics.
Police, fire crews and a doctor also attended the scene where the man had been rescued from the River Eamont.
The man, from Broom, Penrith is said to have serious injuries but was in a stable condition on arrival at James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.
