AN appeal for witnesses to a brawl in the gent’s toilets of an Ulverston pub, which resulted in one man being seriously injured, has been made by the police.
Police say a 36-year-old man was knocked to the ground after he was attacked in the toilets at the Sun Inn, Margaret Street, by another male. He sustained a broken nose and cuts and bruises.
A 42-year-old man went to the assistance of the victim and police say that he was then attacked which prompted a number of other men to get involved.
A 22-year-old man from Barrow has been arrested and interviewed before being released on police bail.
The incident is alleged to have happened at around 2am on Saturday (April 21) and police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the fight.
