A KATE Middleton lookalike had children fooled when she arrived at a Kendal Jubilee party.

The ‘convincing’ Princess double, Heidi Agan, laughed with the young as they tucked into their jelly and ice-cream at the K Village event.

She said: “It’s lovely here. People were already waiting when I arrived, before I got changed, and I did not expect it.”

Local Rainbows showed the Northampton girl the red, white and blue flowers which they had planted by the war memorial.

And they also joined in a number of craft activities, such as face painting and plate decorating.

Amy Curwen, who helps at the Kendal Rainbow group, said: “Me and my friend Sarah-Jane work at K Village Clarks as well as helping at Rainbows, so we wanted to do something here which the kids could get involved with.

“It’s nice that the Jubilee brings everyone together – all different generations have joined to celebrate.”

And parent Sue Moratto-Smith, who was at the event with her daughter, agreed.

She said: “It’s important that the kids get involved and I think that bringing everyone together helps bridge the generation gap.

“It’s nice to see a range of ages celebrating the same thing.”
