Weather experts warn of 24 hour downpour

WEATHER experts have warned South Lakeland will experience up to 80mm of rain today.
The Met office said high fells could see 100mm, and the downpours soaking the county are expected to last until dawn, tomorrow.
A spokesmen said that South Lakeland would see the highest rain throughout today.
They added that the weather should calm tomorrow but showers could still be expected throughout much of Tuesday.
