A RAVENSTONEDALE pub is celebrating after being named the best pub in the UK.
The presigious AA national accolade for pub of the year was handed to The Black Swan at the hospitality awards at the London Hilton, Park Lane, this week.
The country pub has been run by owners Alan and Louise Dinnes, who are overjoyed and have put their success down to great beer, wonderful staff and a central hub for the community.
The family-run pub also has 14 hotel rooms and is home to the village store selling local produce as well as essentials for the community.
Mrs Dinnes, said: ‘We are extremely proud to be winning this award. We have won awards in the past but this is a national award and so it means so much.
“This is the ultimate accolade for all our hard work and is a tribute to our dedicated and very hard working team.”
Mr and Mrs Dinnes took four members of staff to the glitzy AA Hospitality Awards, which was hosted by Kate Silverton, where individuals and establishments receivied recognition for outstanding excellence.
