A FLAGSHIP housing scheme in Coniston will be launched at St Andrew's Youth Centre on Monday with the Bishop of Carlisle, the Rt Rev James Newcome, president of the Mitre Housing Association, cutting the turf to mark work on the construction of ten new 'affordable' homes.
The £1.7 million project is centred around the Diocese of Carlisle’s former outdoor activity centre which closed after the summer of 2014 and was subsequently acquired by the association.
