A cyclist in his 60s remains in a ‘serious’ condition after a crash on the A6 near Heversham yesterday (June 23).

Police attended the collision-which involved a Vauxhall Zafira and a pedal cyclist-at around 5pm.

The cyclist, a local man in his 60’s, was taken to the Royal Preston Infirmary with serious injuries where he remains in a serious but stable condition, according to Cumbria Police.

The driver of the Vauxhall was uninjured.

The road was closed between Levens Hall and Heversham Hall while emergency services were on scene but has since re-opened.
