St Mary's Hospice helps Cumbrians to remember loved ones

A CUMBRIAN hospice campaign will help people in the Lake District to remember their loved ones who have died.
St Mary's Hospice is hosting three Light Up A Life services in the run-up to Christmas to remember people who have passed away by dedicating a light on a tree to their memory.
Former family support team leader Mo Kirk said: "It gives everyone the chance to celebrate the memory of their loved ones, whilst continuing to help the hospice support those who need the expert care from the dedicated staff at St Mary's."
For each donation the hospice, based at Ford Park Crescent, Ulverston, will dedicate a light on a tree, record the name of a loved one in its book of dedication with a short message, and invite you to a service to join other members of the community in remembering and honouring loved ones.
The first service is on December 1 at 7pm at the Banqueting Hall, Town Hall, Barrow-in-Furness.
The second service is at St Mary's Catholic Church, Victoria Road, Ulverston at 4pm, and the final service is on December 11 at 3pm at The Methodist Church, Kents Bank Road, Grange-over-Sands.
To give a dedication, call the hospice on 01229-580305.
