Decision day for Cumbria waste reycling centres

THE future of Cumbria’s household recycling centres is due to be decided today.

Cumbria County Council’s cabinet will discuss plans to close six centres, including those at Ambleside, Kirkby Stephen and Grange-over-Sands. The proposal has sparked a fierce backlash from communities who fear it will lead to increased fly-tipping.
