THE University of Lancaster has changed its logo to help it 'better define and communicate the university's strengths'.
A marketing team was employed to analyse the 'story' the university tells to students, staff, business and research funders and how the look and feel of the university portrays that.
The current logo was 'unloved' by students and staff, according to research whereas the new shield is associated with a highly ranked university.
The shield is currently being rolled-out and will be fully enforced by September 2015.
