FARM machinery specialists C T Hayton Ltd, which has branches at Kendal and Wigton, has been appointed to the new dealership network being developed by Thos Storey Fabrications Ltd for the Spread-a-Bale straw spreading machine.
Spread-a-Bale is a self-loading machine which spreads baled straw the full width of livestock pens.
A Storey spokesman said it makes an "even, long-lasting bed that keeps livestock healthy and clean". The even distribution also enables most users to cut straw usage, he added.
The machine is made by Thos Storey Fabrications Ltd, a highly respected steel fabrication specialist based in Manchester, which is a Tier One supplier to JCB, Caterpillar and a range of other leading customers.
