This year the Country Land Owners Associate (CLA) Game Fair 2015 takes place in the grand setting of Harewood House in Yorkshire. This is an important date in the country calendar for people involved in the world of countryside sports and estate and animal management. Over three days it also offers a great family day out as a celebration of the countryside with competitions for working gundogs, fishing, clay pigeon shooting and displays of horses, dogs and hounds in the main arena.

The fair brings together top quality stalls from across Britain, including Gunmakers' Row where you will find the stand of Malmo Guns, who are based near Lancaster. You will also find some of the best food producers, clothing suppliers and artists and craftspeople from the Lakes, Lune and Dales.

The show is a magnet for dog owners and handlers and there will be plenty of drinking bowls and doggy shower areas where dogs can cool off in the shade. In the Kennel Club Dog Zone there will be working trials, agility and a rally each day.

In the Working Dog Ring there will be demonstrations of dogs such as English springer spaniels, curly haired Irish water spaniels, working clumber spaniels, Nova Scotia duck tolling retrievers and working lurchers.

The Battersea Dogs Display Team give informative talks and demonstrations about the work of rescue dogs turned police dogs, and the assistance dogs, demonstrating how they can help disabled owners lead more active lives.

The diverse range of demonstrations will include hand rolling Cuban cigars, training sniffer dogs, deer stalking, shooting, and mastering the latest time-saving kitchen gadgets.

Taking place in the CLA Game Fair Cookery Theatre, the popular Totally Food Show offers cookery demonstrations by renowned chefs each day including TV chefs Mike Robinson, Rachel Green and Jose Souto and there will be plenty of food and drink to sample and buy.

The complex art of fly tying will form a major attraction at this year’s CLA Game Fair and experts will be on hand to provide free advice to everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals, in the heart of the Fishing Village.

Visitors can unleash their inner Robin Hood at the ever popular field archery have-a-go feature run by Fleet Ibex Field Archery Club.
