HOME buyers across the North West face putting down deposits of over £35,000, according to analysis.
The research by mover conveyancing service My Home Move found that across England and Wales the average is typically £59,633 when comparing the first three months of 2016 to the same period this year. The average deposit has increased by around £6,850 over the last year.
The cheapest average deposit was £22,737 in the North East with the figure £123,347 in London.
The findings were made by analysing data from 12,000 buyers using My Home Move and researching average property prices.
Doug Crawford, chief executive of My Home Move, said rising house prices were generally behind the jump.
