A SPECIALIST stroke acute unit at the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital has been praised for its 'excellent' work with sufferers.
Volunteers from Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen visited Ward B2.
Abdul Mulla, its operations manager, said: "All of the patients, carers. family member and staff described the Acute Stroke Unit as good, very good or excellent."
The Healthwatch report urges the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust to build stronger links with the local Stroke Association and to share best practice by working as a successful effective team with other wards and units.
Christine Pearson, ELHT's director of nursing, said, “We are delighted to receive such excellent feedback from our patients, carers and family members."
