While I agree with Ian Kell’s admiration for both Tim Farron and Rory Stewart (Letters, 30 July 30, ‘Rory is also high-profile’), the latter’s parliamentary position has changed since the May election.
Rory is no longer chairman of the Defence Committee, but now Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. And from July he is now a member of the Environment Audit Commission.
