The report 'Lack of litter bins kick up a stink' (Gazette, March 8) is another reminder, not of the failure of landowners to provide bins for dog waste, but rather the ignorance of dog owners, who bother to pick it up, but then are too embarrassed (I assume) to carry the black bag home.
Why pick it up if you are then only going to sling it, or tuck it into a wall by a stile or gate, or hang it on someone’s fence, or drop it by the door to the toilets at White Moss?
If you’re not prepared to clean up after your dog responsibly then you shouldn’t be allowed to keep one, end of.
