AN APPLEBY farmer has been appointed as chairman of a conservation charity which wants to strengthen its links with the agricultural community.
Organic dairy man Robert Warburton, who farms in a family partnership at Colby, has a keen interest in conservation issues and is now at the helm of Eden Rivers Trust, which works extensively with farmers to ensure its programme is as far-reaching as possible.
