The junior football returned after the Christmas break as the Under 16 and Under 15 cup competitions were the main attraction, while there was also one under 13 league game played on a foggy weekend of action.

In the first round of The Southcott catering under 16 Cup, Wattsfield United eased into the next round with a comfortable 6-0 win at Ibis Athletic. Jack Brench scored a hat trick, while a brace by Paul Chan and a goal by Peter Chan completed the rout.

Kirkby Lonsdale were also winners in a 4-1 home success over Grange United, Jack Armstrong with a brace while Ethan Holgate was also on target.

In the David Baines under 15 cup, Brennan Molineux’s hat trick eased Ibis into the second round in a 7-1 win over Milnthorpe United. Fletcher Berry, Patrick Savage, Jack Ireland and Lucas Parker were also on the score sheet.

Hat tricks by Cameron Horner and Joseph Kenwright helped Wattsfield United into the next round with a 9-3 win over Appleby while Ben Craig, Jake Park and Ben Hornby completed the rout. Appleby's goals came from a brace by Joe Bousfield and a Ben Higginbottom effort.

In the final cup game Heathwaite picked up a 5-1 home win over Swarthmoor. Peter Clough's brace set up the win while Jack Gosling was also on target.

There was also an under 13 league game played as Kane Tyler's brace and a Daniel Webb strike edged Kirkby Stephen to a 3-2 victory over Wattsfield United. Wattsfield replied through Marceli Motyka and Max Hinman.
