I read the letter concerning the cutting of the wildflowers and grass verges in Leasgill by the Highways department (Letters, July 2, ‘Stop mowing wildflowers’).
May I add that the unnecessary use of chemicals to kill the weeds at the edge of pavements, is a waste of time and money. Green weeds look much nicer than dead ones!
