I'm writing to let you know that printing my letter was, for me, successful (Letters, November 12, 'Tracing my lost family').
I would like to thank all your readers for the wonderful job they did in 'tracking down' my lost family.
I was trying to locate my great uncle Edward Gregory Jones' family. He was born in 1906 in Barrow and nothing could be found of his life.
With many thanks to your devoted readers and in particular, Steve Manning, and an old school friend of Beryl Speight nee Jones, Miriam, I was able to locate my family.
I have just lately corresponded with my second cousin Beryl and she has now informed me of the reasons why my great uncle went missing from our family.
