We would like to thank Councillor Morrell for his kind compliments about our class, after he met us on the train between Silverdale and Grange (Letters, March 10,‘A credit to the school’).

We loved talking to him on the journey- it was interesting to hear all of his amazing knowledge and facts about wildlife.

We very much enjoyed our residential at Castle Head and our wonderful day out at Leighton Moss. It was made even better by talking to Councllor Morrell on the way back, as he listened to our news with such interest.

Our whole school have been so proud to hear his lovely comments about us.

We would like to thank him again for taking the time to write to The Westmorland Gazette.

Evan, Lucy and Paige (who sat with you on the train) and the whole of Stramongate School
