SO, 62 of the 64 World Cup games have been played and still I am unclear who will lift the FIFA World Cup Trophy.

As my anticipation for the tournament grew in the months preceding it, I was going down the Argentina, Brazil, Italy line ups for cup finalists and optimistically England for the semi-finals.

But it soon became apparent this was not to be the case.

In a World Cup like no other, the Bafana Bafana has served up a treat for everyone.

There have been early casualties in France and Italy, the cacophony of vuvuzelas and the turbulence with refereeing decisions - namely goal-line technology.

When it became clear England were not likely to win the World Cup my enthusiasm dwindled a little, but since then I have been buoyed by the Uruguayan team's performances - with the exception of the Hand of God Part 2 - and many others alike.

Little known footballing nation Ghana surprised everyone by reaching the quarter-finals and the Black Stars were robbed of a dazzling semi-final against the Dutch.

But for me, the big question remains as to who will take glory on Sunday night.

Holland vs Spain. It is such an exciting match up with neither side having won the World Cup before.

But how have these European giants failed to land the ultimate prize in football before now? For one, glory awaits, and the other, well, it is hard to know.

But one thing is for sure, both sides have shown their flair, pizzazz and real fighting spirit to reach the final.

With Wesley Sneider and Arjen Robben, Holland have set the world alight with dazzling footwork and a win on Sunday would see them become the first team to lift the trophy having won every game of the competition - from the first qualifier, right through to the final.

But in their way are the Galacticos of Spain. Carles Puyol, David Villa and possibly a rejuvenated Fernando Torres.

Villa has been on fire in this World Cup and is on course for the golden boot as well.

I will certainly be watching with bated breath to see which of our European giants takes the title on Sunday.

The final also brings the office sweepstake decider - Kevin vs Judith.

In our World Cup sweepstake, group editor Kevin Young plucked Spain from the hat - much to everyone's grievance - and he has pledged to donate the money to a round of drinks or cakes for the newsroom if he wins!

However, Our Judith - Judith Gilpin - has been flying the orange flag and donning the clogs as her support for Holland grows.

So, do I want a happy Judith sitting opposite me, thanking me for involving her in the sweepstake, or a beer and cake from the boss?

Well I'm saying nothing ... I'll leave that for you to decide!
