THERE is a partial eclipse of the Moon on Thursday, April 25, but to be honest it's going to be so underwhelming that if it's cloudy we won't miss much!
You'll need a very low, very flat eastern horizon to see it too.
When the Moon rises at 8.30pm on the 25th the eclipse will already be in progress. However, as only the very top of the Moon will be touched by Earth's shadow this time, and with the Moon very low in a twilight sky, you might not think it looks any different. But if you have binoculars look at the Moon through them just after 9pm - you might be able to detect a subtle darkening.
