AFTER the announcement of ambitious plans by a British group to land a probe there by 2024, the Moon is in the news at the moment. And tomorrow (Friday, November 28) we'll be holding another of our popular MoonWatch events to show people what all the fuss is about.
If you come along to Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre after 6pm you'll be able to enjoy spectacular views of the Moon - weather permitting. The Moon might just look like a patchy grey and white ball, but through our telescopes you'll be able to see its jagged mountain ranges, meandering valleys and its dark seas of frozen lava. We'll show you craters that are hundreds of miles wide, and much more too.
We'll also show you some of the other wonders of the night sky, and let you see and hold some meteorites too.
Hope to see you there!
