KENDAL bodybuilder Helen Thwaites was awarded second place in the NPA British Finals near Coventry.
A Regular at Kendal's Pride Gym, Thwaites was invited to the finals following her recent success at The Mike Williams Classic Competition held in Sheffield last month.
Thwaites, who now enters The Miss Trained Figure Class-A category, which is judged on a feminine shapely toned body, attained her physique by following a regular training routine using a mix of weights and cardio machines.
Each competitor in the show is marked on a series of seven compulsory poses performed in five-inch heels. This enables the judges to decide who has the best overall shape in comparisons, followed by each individual in turn performing a routine to music that displays their physique to the best of their abilities.
Both parts of the competition are awarded marks to attaining the final result, and Thwaites was judged the second best overall.
