BOWLS: Lindale win Kendal and District Bowling Knockout Doubles Cup
THE final of the Kendal and District Bowling Knockout Doubles Cup was played at Abbott Hall between Netherfield A and Lindale A teams.
The result on the night was a 2-2 draw, but Lindale were the winners on aggregate of 61 to 49.
The Lindale team comprised captain Bill Keating, Ann Anderson, Mike Atkinson, Shane Barron, Ron Hathorn, Mark Heywood, Laraine Keating and Barbara Pettit.
The cup was presented by Ernie Woodcock, from Burneside, who was the tournament referee.
