STAFF at Cartmel Racecourse are celebrating after becoming the recipients of a prestigious national award.
Cartmel Racecourse proves to be a popular destination year after year, for its race meets as well as hosting music events, such as David Gray and Ricky Wilson this summer.
A social media post on October 5 by Cartmel Racecourse said:
"We are thrilled to say that we have been announced as the winner of the Racecourse Groundstaff Awards for 2022 in the Jump winner category!
"We are hugely proud of Gary, Jamie, and the rest of their team!
"I am delighted for Head Groundsman Gary Sharp, his assistant Jamie King, and the whole team at Cartmel, that their hard work, expertise and professionalism have been recognised with this fantastic award." - Anthea Leigh, Clerk of the Course at Cartmel.
