With 25 minutes to go Kendal Town led 2-0, at Rossendale tonight thanks to goals by Ian Kilford and Kenny Mayers.
But the evening turned sour as they conceded three rapid goals to lose 3-2 and squander another chance of getting in among the UniBond League First Division leaders.
Town's second defeat in four days drops them to eighth place in the table, six points off the pace.
