CASTERTON School’s Under-15 tennis team have been crowned County Champions after beating Caldew School 8-4 in the final.
The team had previously become South Cumbria Champions after 12-0 victories over Windermere School, Furness Academy and Sedbergh School, as well as a 10-2 success over the Casterton B Team, who were South Cumbria runners-up.
They will now go on to represent Cumbria Schools in the regional knockout round in the autumn.
Delighted coach Jon Griffin said: “The girls work very hard in training and thoroughly deserve their success.”
