ANybody can beat anyone in this league and that showed on Saturday.

Ossett Town are fighting for survival and we were playing on a terrible pitch and I think all the players did quite well.

We were not beaten but it was disappointing not to get the three points.

My main keeper [David Newnes] and right back Paul Byrne has been out, Ian Kilford is still out and so is Warren Beattie. This time last year without these players we would have been struggling but we are doing OK.

It is a hard league now. You think you might have a banker but you cannot guarantee any results here.

The pitch was terrible on Saturday and it levelled things out between the teams but I still believe we are the best in the league.

We will all drop points in spells.

I think Andy Bell has fit in well with the lads and has adapted to how we play. It was nice to see Mullers [Lee Mulvaney] and Kyle [Jacobs] play and keep fit.

We are trying to keep both Andy Bell and Rory Winters and they will be available for Saturday’s game at Frickley Athletic, but we need to do more to secure them for another month.

I was really chuffed with the performance on Saturday and we are always capable of scoring goals. Gary [Stopforth] has not had the same limelight as Bell but was some signing and has always played well.

It was good to see Paul Byrne back. He was out a long time and on a pitch like Saturday’s he had to be careful but he will get fitter .

Saturday’s game at Frickley will be tough. I used to hate going there as a player and we don’t have a good record against them. They are a physical side and they can cause upsets. Its a difficult place to go.

I have to say a huge thank you to the groundsmen too. What they did to get the game on on Saturday was miraculous and hopefully it will be OK for our next game.

We have got the big freeze to come, there will be more postponements and we may close on other teams if Kings Lynn drop out of the league as they beat us earlier in the season.

* Kings Lynn have been subject to a winding up order and a decision on their future was expected to be made yesterday, Wednesday. If they drop out of the league, games involving them this season may be voided off, meaning teams who collected three points would drop those points.
