HIGHLIGHT of Carlisle Races today (Saturday) is the 500th Totescoop 6 Celebration Handicap Chase at 3.25pm.

With only a spread of 12lb in the weights it might be worth going for a touch of class in The Whisperer, who tops the ratings.

Nicky Richards's charge had not been out of the frame last term and looks to have been put on one side for this useful prize.

He is sure to be straighter than when pulled up on his debut.

Donald McCain junior is rarely wide off the mark at this track and Pack Drill looks on a useful mark in the 2.50pm Toteswinger Handicap Chase after being warmed up with a point-to-point second place last time.

Easby Mandarin from Chris Thornton's Middleham stable gets Brian Harding's help in the saddle for the Robert Elliott Memorial Novices Handicap Chase at 4.30pm and is good each-way value for his small stable.
