ONLY nine games survived the frost in the Bluefin Westmorland Football League on a quiet afternoon of action throughout all four divisions.
In Division One, Keswick closed the gap on league leaders Kirkoswald to three points following a high-scoring 6-3 win at struggling Carvetti United.
Goals from Adam Carter, John Coward, Jordan Crawford and Liam Dent saw Appleby remain in contention for the top spot after a 4-1 win at Sedbergh Wanderers.
The hosts had two players sent off in a very stormy encounter at Havera Park.
Penrith Reserves were also big winners following a 9-4 win over bottom-club Ambleside United Reserves at Frenchfield,
Meanwhile in division two, league leaders Unisun Athletic were handed down a 3-1 defeat at Fitz Park by Keswick Reserves.
Elsewhere Endmoor KGR came from a goal behind to defeat Langwathby United 3-1 at Woodside Road.
Matthew Wilson, Shaun Gardner and Jordan Kenny were on the score sheet as Endmoor climbed up to second in the table and just one point behind the leaders.
In division three there was only one game as Greystoke go top of the table following a 6-1 home win over Ibis Reserve while in division four a Jamie Boyce hat-trick and a Lee Hucill strike helped Pirelli to a 4-0 win over Penrith Academy.
Border City drew 2-2 with Eamont Rovers and Penrith Saints put seven past Greystokes Reserves,
