There was a hard-fought round of action in The Kendal and District Bowling League as the battle for supremacy continued to heat up across all six Divisions
In Division One there was nothing to separate Holme A and Victoria A at the top after both sides collected important wins.
Holme A remained at the top after they defeated King's Arms Hale A 8-2. However Victoria A had to battle for the win after they overcame a tough away game at Windermere A before the second-placed side won 6-4.
In the other games, Burneside A and Bowness A picked up 9-1 wins with victory over Holme B and Netherfield B respectively; Netherfield A defeated Lindale A 7-3; while Levens A saw off Netherfield C 8-2.
Burton A won 9-1 at Milnthorpe A in Division Two and there were also wins for Allithwaite A, Crosthwaite A, Lower Holker A and Victoria B.
However the tie of the round saw Levens B and Staveley A draw 5-5, a result which leaves Staveley four points behind league leaders Burton A.
In Division Three Lindale B opened up a ten-point gap at the top of the table after they defeated Lower Holker B 7-3.
Ingleborough A, Burton B and Windermere picked up 6-4 wins with victories over Holme C , Hawkshead and Heversham A respectively.
Endmoor A were also winners after they defeated Ambleside B 8-2.
Levens C continued to dominate Division Four after a 7-3 win over Arnside B, while Victoria C, Bowness B,Windermere C and Allithwaite B all collected 8-2 wins.
In the final game Langdale defeated Burneside B 7-3.
Division Five remained wide open after league leaders Milnthorpe B slipped to a 6-4 defeat at Kirkby Lonsdale B.
Endmoor B defeated Burneside C 7-3, Lower Holker C won by the same score after they beat Lindale C.
There were also wins for Allithwaite C, Ingleborough B, while Lindale D defeated Heversham B 7-3.
Abbot Hall B remained the team to beat in Division Six after they whitewashed Allithwaite D 10-0.
In the other games Subscription D saw off Staveley C 8-2, Endmoor C defeated Burneside D 7-3, Victoria D won 8-2 at Heversham C while Subscription C routed Holme D 9-1.
In the final game Milnthorpe C and Bowness C battled out a 5-5 draw.
